      <image:caption>These three Data Matrix codes are actually paintings and when individually scanned reveal the words Cincinnati, Columbus, and Cleveland. They are the three largest cities in Ohio and each painting is meant to mimic the racial demographics of those three cities as represented in the 2010 Census. The paintings are meant to be reminiscent of Byron Kim’s paintings in which he reduces a population sample (the models in his studio) to skin toned color swatches.</image:caption>
